YUMA, Ariz. – A Yuma resident is dead after a domestic disturbance. According to Lieutenant Nate Dusek, the Yuma Police Department responded to a 911 call of a Domestic Disturbance on 14th Ave. and West 12th Ln. on August 27, at 3:20 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old woman injured in front of a residence.
The woman was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. Officers contacted a 37-year-old male at the residence and took him into custody.
This case is currently under investigation. The names of the victim and suspect are being withheld pending contact with next of kin.
