YUMA, Ariz. – Frontera United begins its second season of existence as a member of the United Premier Soccer League and the team was looking for a strong home showing; after losing its season opener on the road.
Frontera would draw Chula Vista FC; a team that they narrowly beat at Desert Sun Stadium last season.
After missing out on a number of scoring opportunities early, Frontera would take the 1-0 lead at the half; before finishing the second half strong. They would come away with the home victory and their first win of the summer campaign.
Victor Ramirez scored the game high two goals on the night, while his teammates Henry Ramirez and Jan Chvojan each contributed a goal in the four to nil victory.
