Ducey announces judicial vacancy in Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. – Governor Doug Ducey announced he is now accepting applications for the vacant judicial position on the Yuma County Superior Court.

The vacancy was created by the retirement of Judge John N. Nelson and the appointment of Maria Elena Cruz to the Presiding Judge post.

Applications can be submitted until March 30, 2016. The application and instructions can be found and downloaded at www.bc.azgovernor.gov.

Applicants shall be between 30 and 65 years of age, of good moral character, admitted to the practice of law in Arizona, a resident of the state for five years next prior to taking office and a resident of Yuma County for at least one year prior to taking office.
