One man is dead after forcing entry into apartment

YUMA, Ariz.- A man forced entry into a residence at Medpark Apartments, Friday night. 48-year-old Thomas Selitto knocked on apartment door and the when homeowner opened door, Selitto forced himself inside.

According to the Yuma Police Department, a physical altercation took place between the resident and Selitto.  The resident asked Selitto to leave the apartment, Selitto threatened the resident and was shot by them  Police say he later died from his injuries.

Yuma Police Department’s Sergeant Lori Franklin says, “When residents opened the door, he pushed his way into the apartment,” causing the homeowners to use self-defense.
