YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man whose body was found near Highway 95 last week.
The victim is 27-year-old Honduran national, Emmanuel Alvarenga-Navarrete, of Salinas, California.
Alvarenga-Navarrete was found in a field near Avenue 9 1/4 E and Highway 95 with gunshot wounds. Deputies responded to the area at about 9 a.m. on Thursday, January 21st.
At this time, we are working to confirm what company he worked for at the time of his death.
The next of kin has been notified and the Victim Center is working with the Honduran consulates office.
