YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man whose body was found near Highway 95 last week. The victim is 27-year-old Honduran national, Emmanuel Alvarenga-Navarrete, of Salinas, Calif.
Alvarenga-Navarrete was found in a field near Avenue 9 1/4 E and Highway 95 with gunshot wounds. Deputies responded to the area at about 9 a.m. last Thursday.
The next of kin has been notified and the Victim Center is working with the Honduran consulates office.
The case remains under investigation.
