YUMA, Ariz- San Luis is amongst the ten safest cities in Arizona. Here are the top three cities near you that made the list- San Luis, Wellton and Somerton. This is according to a study that was recently released by consumeraffairs.com.
The safe city determination was based on five categories…burglary odds, change in burglary rate in the past year, police officers per 10,000 residents, crime rate per 1,000 residents and average number of crimes per day.
Wellton comes in at number five, San Luis comes in at number nine and over the years Somerton has been consistently ranked in the top ten list year after year, coming in at number ten.
We went to San Luis to hear what the people in the community thought about the the new release on consumeraffairs.com and whether or not they believe their city is a safe place to live in.
One San Luis resident said, “I think it’s safe because you don’t see a lot of people doing bad stuff and it’s a good place to live.”
A San Luis Visitor adds, “I think it’s a safe place every time I come I don’t see anything bad happening or anything unusual there’s a lot of police and everything so I think it’s a safe tone.”
