A former Arizona Western College (AWC) and Cibola High School baseball player recently died in a car crash.
Lincoln Holdzkom was currently pitching for the New Zealand baseball team.
He made the 40-man roster on several Major League Baseball teams in the U.S. including the 2012 Arizona Diamondbacks.
Holdzkom pitched as a Matador in 2001 before being drafted in the 7th round to the Miami Marlins in 2004 according to AWC officials.
