YUMA, Ariz- The aftermath of the flood has left many Somerton residents devastated on how they’re going to revamp and fix their homes.
Cira Ruiz who is a Somerton resident had her neighbors tree fall right on top of her roof creating holes and leaks through her house. She is now worried on how she’s going to fix the damage and the cost for repairs. Ruiz also mentions how she wasn’t prepared for this type of weather disaster and was scared when the storm hit.
Ruiz said, “It’s going to affect us because now we have to pay for the damages and we’re not exactly sure how much it’s going to be. But we got a leak from the inside of the ceiling and from the floor actually too.”
Ruiz does have insurance on her home and is hopeful that everything will be ok.
