YUMA, Ariz. –
Gun sales on black Friday hit record highs, according to the FBI more than 180,000 gun background checks were done. So we wanted to find out if gun sales have been impacted with the recent mass shootings.
Sprague’s Sports in Yuma says they have noticed a lot more concerned customers. The store has a shooting range to teach customers how to use a gun if they haven’t used one before. We asked their vice president if he thinks the recent shootings were behind the increase in sales.
“That has there attention for there safety and for there families safety. This last tragic accident we haven’t seen that much fluctuate. There’s people that are concerned but it’s hard to tell whether it’s because of that or because it’s Christmas,” Ron Gissendaner said.
Gissendaner also says he thought the increase in sales could be from talks of gun reform.
