YUMA, Ariz. – When Frontera United won it’s first game of the season in their home opener earlier in the week; the franchise was hoping that would lead to better things. So far it has.
Frontera would get the 6-2 win over the Arizona Sahuaros in their 2nd match of the season at Desert Sun Stadium.
Even though the visitors opened up the game with the 1 to nil lead off a free kick near Frontera’s box, the home team would erupt with 3 goals of their own to close out the 1st half. The 2nd half proved to have duplicated results in Frontera’s lop-sided win.
Fabian Guiza led all scorers with 2 goals on the night. This while teammates Henry Ramirez, Victor Rodriguez, Jan Chvojan and Richie Villa all contributed a goal to Frontera’s winning cause.
Frontera will next host FC Tucson at Desert Sun Stadium next Wednesday night. The match will begin at 7.
