
YUMA, Ariz. – A Yuma man was taken to the hospital after he was stabbed in the back while he was out for a run, according to the Yuma Police Department.
YPD responded to the area of South Jojoba Avenue and East 48th Street around 9 p.m. Saturday to an aggravated assault call of a 31-year-old man who had been stabbed in the back.
According to YPD, the victim was confronted by three Hispanic men in a dark car. Officers said the passengers of the car were yelling insults and cursing at the victim before the stabbing.
Officers say the suspects fled the scene and the victim was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
