YUMA, Ariz. – The former Marine and Desert View High School employee accused of sexual abuse was formally charged with a list of sexual offenses against a minor.
Ernesto Aguiniga was in court Monday where he was charged with sexual abuse of a minor, luring a minor for sexual exploitation and furnishing harmful items to a minor, according to court officials.
His bond was set at $200,000.
The 30-year-old is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing this Friday.
School officials say Aguiniga has been terminated from his duties as an Assistant to the Principal at Desert View.
Aguiniga was arrested last Thursday after investigators say he admitted to sexually abusing a 17-year-old female student.
