YUMA, Ariz. – Police arrested a local school administrator after officers say he admitted to sexually abusing a 17-year-old female student.
Officers say Ernesto Aguinigia also admitted to sending inappropriate text messages to other students from Carpe Diem High school.
Police say the 30-year-old made the advances between September 2015 and April 2016.
The Carpe Diem High School employee was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center Thursday.
Aguinigia is a former Marine who was discharged from the Marine Corps on July 23, 2015, according to Captain Jose Negrete at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
