YUCCA, Ariz. – The man accused of killing his friend in Yucca and burying her body in Yuma plead guilty to murder.
Mohave County officials say James David Collins plead guilty Tuesday to second degree murder charges in court.
Collins allegedly got in an argument with his companion, Cynthia Marie Horn, while driving to Yucca in October 2014.
Investigators say Collins shot Horn twice in the head with a handgun then drove to Yuma County and buried the body on family property.
Collins was arrested in Mexico and had Horn’s Jeep with him.
Collins faces 10 to 20 years in prison.
