Egg hunt at Yuma Civic Center

YUMA, Ariz. –  Impact Church of Yuma held their annual Easter egg hunt and hundreds came out to celebrate.

Pastor Rene Rodriguez, says there is normally a big turnout, “There was 300 to 400 people last year. This year we are not sure we are still waiting and people are still lining up and the hallway is full and we are excited to see what god has planned.

Pastor Robert Rodriguez says, “This is our annual Easter celebration, so we have been having this for the past five years, so that’s how we have celebrated, we have invited the community to come out and celebrate.”

Families from all over Yuma County lined the civic center’s door all trying to fill their baskets will candy filled plastic eggs.

“So, actually we have friends who we like hey we have an Easter egg hunt and it is something we haven’t done in Yuma so we decided to come out and try it,” said Jessica Anderson.

The Church also gave more than 120 prizes and had lots of eggs, for the egg hunt. Kids seemed eager to get as many prizes and candy to take home.

“Happy Easter everybody,” said McKenzie Bash.

“I got lots of candy,” said Chevelle Magana.

“We are going to decorate eggs later,” said Simone Bowers.
