SOMERTON, Ariz. – A driver and passenger were sent to the hospital after they crashed into an antenna post of a groundwater monitoring well.
Somerton Cocopah fire crews say the driver swerved to avoid rear-ending a car hauling a trailer, eventually crashing into the post. The accident happened at the County 18th and South Somerton Avenue intersection.
Officials say the driver complained of back pain, blurring vision and feeling dizzy while the passenger had a cut on her forehead.
Both of them were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center.
Their identities were not released.
