YUMA, Ariz. – Aircrafts, obstacle courses, food vendors and live music are some of the fun activities you’ll be able to experience at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma this weekend.

The patriot festival is replacing this years air show. It will be held at MCAS Yuma off of County 14 Road off of Aveneu 3 E and Avenue A. The festival starts at 8:00 a.m. on February 27th, 2016.

The event is free but make sure to bring your I.D.

“Be patient with us when your waiting in line to get in there. In the end, the security measures are put in there for the public’s over all well being,” MCAS Captain Jose Negrete  said.

Instead of parking outside the base, Operations Officer Cory Karr says all are invited to come on in.

“We want people to stay off that roadway especially County 14. So we’re not wanting a lot of people to be parked out there to add to congestion on that roadway. So pretty much come to the event and just enjoy it,” said Karr.

Those coming to the festival can enjoy an all day event. Including an opportunity to face off with a Marine or sailor in an obstacle course.

“You get to see the competitor right next to you. For the first time you’ll get to see civilians are going to have an opportunity to compete against Marines and sailors,” said Negrete.
