YUMA, Ariz. – Parents lined up early with their children hoping to get their kids on the mutton busting roster for this years Jaycee Silver Spur Rodeo.
Mutton busting is a way for young kids to participate in the western entertainment happening this weekend. The chairman of the rodeo says it’s a crowd favorite and a Yuma tradition.
This will be the 71st year that the rodeo has been in Yuma. People can expect to see bull riding, roping and other rodeo shows.
Tickets are available at Cal-Ranch, Yuma Feed and Boot Barn in Yuma. The event is not sold out yet, but the chairman for the rodeo says tickets are selling fast.
