
YUMA, Ariz- In court Thursday afternoon Joseph Aaron Bishoff stood before a judge where he’s facing armed robbery, robbery, drug paraphernalia and burglary to the third degree charges. In the courtroom the defense attorney tried to get Bishoff a lower bond saying $380,000 bond is outrageous. However, the judge decided to stick with the prosecutor’s request and left the bond as is.
Earlier this week the Yuma Police Department arrested Bishoff who they say is a homeless man. In a nearby shed is where neighbors in the area spotted him lying there.
Bishoff is also linked to the Chevron robbery located at south fourth avenue and 20th street. Authorities say Bishoff also has an outstanding felony warrant in Yuma County for probation violation.
Surveillance video shows a man who police believe is Bishoff entering the gas stations and taking an unknown amount of money then running away. Thankfully no one was injured during the time of the robberies. In court Thursday afternoon the judge requests the Bishoff does not make any contact with the two gas stations whatsoever.
Bishoff is scheduled back in court Friday, February 12th.
