Yuma police arrest man wanted on several felonies

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department’s Special Operations Group arrested a man wanted for numerous felony offenses Thursday night. Officers attempted to contact 30-year-old Enrique Corona Jr. in the area of 8th St and 7th Ave. at about 9:15 p.m. Corona was wanted for numerous felony offenses including weapon violations, narcotics and burglary.

Police said Corona fled in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the area of the Railroad Tracks and Kennedy Ln. Corona ran from officers on foot into a fenced commercial yard in the 600 Block E 20th St.
Officers from the Police Department, with the assistance of US Border Patrol were able to locate and arrest Corona inside the fenced yard.

The area around 20th St and Factor Ave was closed for approximately two hours while Corona was being located.
