YUMA, Ariz.- A group of Seniors ladies decided to take matters in their own hands and help Veterans in need. The group is called, The Silver Belles and it consists of single senior woman that want to make a positive difference in the community.
“We decorated a box and we put a list up there saying all what these Veterans needed there were families and there were single homeless men and woman and we collected food and new clothing for the children.”- Carol Grant, Rancho Rialto Activities Manager.
“Its just a good feeling inside that why we do it… Its not for any kind of recognition or anything like that its just a feeling that when we are making them someone is going to take this and they are going to be warm.”- Nancy Lawson
